History of the Arto Pillow
Our History
It all started during a camping trip in 2020 and the dilemma of what I would bring with me to sleep on. My bed pillow was way too large to fit in my pack, my inflatable pillow was known to deflate on me throughout the night, and rolling up a bunch of clothes was too uncomfortable. I was tired of waking up feeling more exhausted than when I went to bed.
My time in the US Army deepened this idea, where multiple field exercises and deployments showed me the value of having a pillow that is compact and comfortable.
From there, I took a year researching various designs and materials to develop the perfect solution, the Arto Pillow.
Our Desire
My desire is to provide pillows that are comfortable, compact, easy to transport, and able to handle any wear and tear that comes its way.
What Does Arto Mean?
In Latin, Arto is defined as the act of "compressing" and "wedging in". A perfect word to illustrate the compressed nature of the pillow and it's ability to be packed and wedged into any environment.
